RULES FOR VISITORS

As with all NASCAR events, visitors to Talladega Superspeedway are required to follow venue rules to help maintain a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable atmosphere. Security personnel are present throughout the weekend to assist guests and ensure all policies are observed.

Prohibited items

For the safety and comfort of everyone, certain items are not allowed inside the facility. Anything that could present a safety risk, create a disturbance, or interfere with the event is strictly banned. This also applies to tickets or merchandise intended for resale. All guests must pass through security screening at the entrances—refusal to comply or violation of the rules may result in denied entry without a refund.

To avoid any issues, it’s strongly recommended to review Talladega Superspeedway’s official prohibited-items list before arriving. Common examples include (note: this is not the complete list):

• Aerosol cans (except sunscreen, bug spray, or sanitizer)
• Air horns and other noise-making devices
• Balloons, beach balls, frisbees, or similar projectiles
• Bicycles, skateboards, roller skates, or hoverboards
• Chairs of any kind, including folding chairs
• Clothing deemed obscene or offensive
• Foam or hard-sided coolers
• Confederate flag displays
• Dry ice
• Drugs or illegal substances
• Firearms or weapons of any type
• Fireworks
• Glass or ceramic containers
• Knives longer than 3 inches when closed or 6 inches when open
• Laser pointers
• Monopods or tripods of any size
• Seat cushions with metal frames
• Tools, including multi-tools with large blades
• Drones or other unmanned aircraft

Allowed items

To speed up entry and make your day easier, it’s best to bring only the essentials—your ticket, mobile phone, charger or spare batteries, photo ID (children should carry some form of identification as well), and basic personal items. Traveling light helps you move through security faster and get to the racing sooner.

Items typically permitted inside the Superspeedway include:

• Bags (up to 2 per person, each no larger than 18" x 18" x 14")
• Cameras, binoculars, scanners, and headsets (worn or carried)
• Cigarettes and lighters
• Clothing and blankets
• Flags (nationality flags on a pencil-sized wooden stick; must not block other fans’ views)
• Food and drinks (pre-packaged and sealed; alcoholic beverages allowed in non-glass containers, unless restricted by state law)
• Ice
• Insulated cups (up to 64 oz)
• iPads, tablets, and laptops
• Seat cushions without metal parts
• Service animals
• Soft-sided coolers (maximum 14" x 14" x 14")
• Strollers
• Sunscreen, sunblock, hand sanitizer, and bug spray (aerosol, gel, or liquid)
