Talladega Superspeedway places a strong emphasis on accessibility, aiming to ensure that race weekends are comfortable and enjoyable for fans of all abilities. A comprehensive range of services is available, covering seating, transport within the venue, parking, and personal mobility support.
Accessible seating is offered in both grandstands and towers. In the grandstands, ADA sections are located at the main concourse level, reducing the need to navigate stairs. In most towers, accessible seats are positioned in the first row, providing clear sightlines and easy access. The only exception is the O.V. Hill South Tower Extension, where ADA seating is situated on the top row (Row 77) and reached via elevator – the only tower area with elevator access.
Fans wishing to buy ADA tickets are advised to contact the Talladega ticket office directly. Throughout the facility, switchback ramps are installed to assist wheelchair users and guests who may find stairs challenging.
On race days, ADA seating is spread across several areas. Sunday access includes reserved seating in the Lincoln, Anniston, O.V. Hill North and South, and Birmingham Grandstands, as well as ADA sections in the O.V. Hill North and South Towers, Tri-Oval Tower, Birmingham Tower, Moss-Thornton Tower, and Talladega Tower. For multi-day attendance, additional accessible seating is available in the Gadsden Grandstand and in the Lincoln, Tri-Oval, and O.V. Hill South Tower Extension.
Given the size of the property, Talladega operates a free golf cart shuttle service for guests with disabilities and one companion. Pick-up points are located around the grounds, and assistance can also be requested via Guest Services Fan Information Booths if needed elsewhere. After each race, the service pauses for around 45 minutes while pedestrian traffic clears, and wait times may increase during busy periods. The service is always complimentary, and tipping is not permitted.
Dedicated ADA parking is available close to the main seating areas. Guests with wheelchair-accessible tickets receive an ADA parking tag for reserved lots near the towers. ADA Lot 1 is positioned by Legend’s Village behind the O.V. Hill South Tower, while ADA Lot 3 is located behind the O.V. Hill North and Tri-Oval Towers. Spaces in Lot 3 are limited and can be purchased in advance by phone. Fans displaying a state-issued disabled placard or licence plate may also use ADA Lot 4 near Entrance Plaza 1. This lot is free but operates on a first-come, first-served basis and typically fills early.
Guests may bring their own wheelchairs or electric convenience vehicles (ECVs). ECVs must be single-person, commercially manufactured models (such as HoverRound, Jazzy, Rascal, or Scoot) and are permitted throughout the facility, including in accessible seating areas.
With these measures in place — from seating and transport to parking and mobility support — Talladega Superspeedway works to ensure that every fan can experience the excitement of NASCAR racing in comfort and safety.
